All websites are equal but DA is more equal

Mon Oct 31, 2005, 3:24 AM
I've been around the net and flirted with the odd community but I've never succeeded in creating or being part of anything I wanted to hold onto, until now.

Mood: Meditative / Reflective Made up
Listening to: Frankie Wilde - Rock Your Body Rock
Reading: Contact - AudioBook read by Jodie Foster
Watching: Serenity

I'm a weird kinda guy, I dont go out much, dont really have any friends that I still know in the real world. So I just tend to do my own thing and I'm ok with that. Being this way, you can really appreciate the power of communication over the web but even more acutely, the ability to find places that are all about what you love no matter how obscure.

I grew out of the midget throwing blogging scene (pun so intended) and after some years of wandering around websites I discovered DA. At first I did what most people probably do. I leeched for all I'm worth but as I've delved deeper, I've seen a vibrant place that actually has a little magic embedded into the HTML.

Sure you can pick any site apart if you want to but when you appreciate that no site is made for you specifically, you have to ask how much appeals to me and how much does not. DA has definetly tipped the scales big time there and it's just so cool to take part in it

I'm sure there is much more to discover but for now I'm super impressed with this site, the people i've talked to here and the overall atmosphere.

I came, I saw, I did a little blogging.
